View Full Version : Just picked up a gem of a catcher's mitt on Ebay....

...for $140, I got a Rawlings Heart of the Hide - Made in the USA (St. Louis Custom Shop) mitt. These are made the "old school" way with the oil-tanned HOH Horween leather. It has the name "Nelson" on it, but who cares? Not me.

I'm going to look and see if Bob Clevenhagen crafted this one. Shouldn't be too hard to find out.

That's quite a bargain for a Rawlings Custom Shop mitt. I'm sure a seamstress would be able to get rid of the "Nelson" if you cared about that. I think I'd just tell people my mitt's name is Nelson.

Whenever someone strikes out when you're catching, just go: "HA-HA!!" (The Simpsons).

Everyone will then understand the meaning of 'Nelson'. ;D
