I'm looking for some help in identifying these guys. Can anyone help me out?
1934 Tour of Japan Team.
Top, L-R: Charlie Gehringer, Frankie Hayes, Moe Berg, Babe Ruth, Connie Mack, Lou Gehrig, Lefty O'Doul, Earl Whitehill, Earl Averill, Bob Schroder (A's business manager), unidentified (probably radio station manager).
Bottom, L-R: Eric McNair, unidentified, *Doc Edward E. Ebling (trainer), Jimmie Foxx, Lefty Gomez, Bing Miller, Joe Cascarella, unidentified.
*Doc Edward E. Ebling joined the Philadelphia A's in 1915. He died February 11, 1938 at the age of 63. He was their trainer/chief masseur.
Others listed but I can't find are: Frank (Rabbit) Warstler, John Quinn, Clint Brown.
L-R: Moe Berg, Connie Mack, Eric McNair, Charley Berry, Julia Ruth, Babe Ruth, Mrs. Claire Ruth, Bing Miller, Mrs. Earl Whitehill, Charlie Gehringer.

Here a picture of Earl Averill, if anyone can spot him.

Unofficially, here's what I came up with so far Bill:
Frankie Hayes: Top, 2nd from left
Earl Averill: Top, 3rd from right
Eric McNair: Front, far left
I think the guy you have marked as Lefty O'Doul is Joe Cascarella, and Lefty O'Doul is in the top, 7th from left, next to Gehrig.

I think you're right about Hayes. I already came to the same conclusions about Averill and McNair.
But top, next to Mack is most definitely Gehrig. I'm less certain that I got O'Doul right, though.
But let's keep working on this, Gary. Between the 2 of us, we should be able to get it done.

While I'm on the subject, I'd so dearly love to learn who the guy on the left is!! This is a nice autographed shot of Cobb, Speaker and Ruth.
This photo was taken at the 1942 All-Star Game.
The frustrating thing is I've seen him before but I can't bring his name up. The photo is most probably from the early 40's.
For months now, I've tried to remember but come up blank. And the harder I press, the deeper I drive it into my subconscious.
Guy on left ended up being long-time Ty friend, Frank Meckey.

Sorry, Bill...I meant that O'Doul is on top, next to Gehrig, not Mack. My mistake.

Do you know that you are looking for Jack Quinn the 50-year old pitcher rather than one of the executive Quinns?
John J. Quinn is the second generation, would have been 26 years old. Vaguely I recall that one of them is sometimes incorrectly listed as John "Bob". The first is James "Bob" at wikipedia and he would have been 64 years old, GM of the Dodgers.

Here's a picture of Joe Cascarella. The ear and the eyebrows are a good match with the guy in the front row next to Bing Miller. What do you think?

I think you're right...I don't see Jack Quinn in this picture. I've identified him before in other pictures and he's usually easy to pick out. It must be another Quinn, probably an executive Quinn as you suggest.
Also, do you mean he would have been 64 at the time of this picture? If so, he's got to be the old guy in the first row.
I just found out that the two translators on the trip were Satero Suzuki and Bob Schroder. Suzuki has to be the guy in the top row, far right. Maybe that's Schroder next to him. Doc Ebling was also a Japanese speaker who was on the trip. He wan't a ball player.
My research notes mention a "Charles" Brown, not "Clint" Brown. Since there's no Charles Brown in the Baseball Encyclopedia, he also might be an executive who was on the trip. The pictures I have of Clint Brown don't look like anyone in the picture.

Yeah, I can see that. But he also could be the guy next to Gehrig too.
Can you open several screens simultaneously, and put the two pictures next to each other? I can. Cascarella looks more like the guy next to Gehrig to me.
I'll study it more.

Yes, I too saw some of the online references to Chas. Brown.
But I also saw several other references to a Clint Brown.
Here is one quote, which I'll follow with the link.
"Besides the Babe, the Major League All-Stars team included: Eric McNair, Philadelphia Athletics; Charlie Gehringer, Detroit Tigers; Lou Gehrig, New York Yankees; Jimmie Foxx, Philadelphia Athletics; Earl Averill, Cleveland Indians; Bing Miller, Philadelphia Athletics; Moe Berg, Washington Nationals/Cleveland Indians; Frankie Hayes, Philadelphia Athletics (who replaced the injured Charlie Berry of the Philadelphia Athletics); Lefty Gomez, New York Yankees; Earl Whitehill, Washington Nationals; Clint Brown, Cleveland Indians; Joe Cascarella, Philadelphia Athletics; and, Harold "Rabbit" Warstler, Philadelphia Athletics."
Here's the link. You need to scroll down a little.

I wonder if the unidentified men standing on the far right are translators Bob Schroder and Sataro Suzuki.

I've been suspecting the same thing, also.

Yes, we are looking for 51 year-old Jack Quinn, whose last active playing season was 1933.

No, no, no. You did great. You finally convinced me on O'Doul and Cascarella.
GaryL had already gotten them but I was being my truculent, stubborn, old Bill self.
I'm sorry, Gary. I should have listened to you the first time you pointed them out.
I also got Doc Ebling. I remembered his name from the 1930 A's, where I had his name misspelled, Elebring. He was the A's trainer and masseur and was also a Japanese speaker, which is probably why he was asked to go along. He died in 1938 at the young age of only 63.
So, you did fantastic. Keep on helping me!

Bill:
Looking at that guy on the left, and the writing on his hat, it's possible that his name might be... Frank "Tex" (unknown last name). Does that help ring a bell? I'm trying to think of someone from that era who had the nickname "Tex". Like you, I know I've seen that face.

Where did you get that photograph? Looks like a formal luncheon or dinner, in the smoking section of course!
-- no luck with helping you --
But I will keep trying if you provide me with a source for the photograph. I watched the Frisch video, and that could be our man, but he does not appear to have enough wrinkles to be Frisch.

I finally found out who that other guy was in with Ty, Tris and Babe. He was a long-time friend of Ty's. His name was Mr. Meckey.
First name looks like Frank, but I could be wrong.---link (http://www.tyrusrcobb.com/html/photo2.html)
