The kid hasn't been hitting as well as he normally does...most people would be perfectly fine with it. He isn't it.. I don't push, I just wait until he comes to me.

so finally he says in the middle of a BP session, that he asked for..."What am I doing?"

Trying to keep it simple..

"You're getting long with your arms. Don't reach out to the ball. When you pull the trigger make sure you back elbow comes down close to your side."

He took a few dry swings obviously doing that.

The next pitch he put over the LC fence. (dead LF is 250).

Now all of a sudden, he "knows what I'm talking about"...

LOL

his new phrase

"short to ball"

And someone tell Joe Morgan to STOP saying "See how he got his hands extended on that pitch? That's why he hit it so well."

He's messing with children..... LOL

  . . . yes, I'm sure that that could be considered some form of "child abuse" somewhere in the US . . . maybe we finally have something we can get Joe arrested for and off the air, unless he voluntarily decides to step away from the microphone on his own recognizance. :blah: :radio :blah: . . . . as an announcer, that guy is terrible.

Baseball can be dry enough without his stellar commentary.

+1 with Joe Morgan being terrible behind the mic.

I vote Joe Morgan off as well. It is comical to listen to him sometimes I wonder if he ever stops to think about what he is saying.

Short in, long out, is what my DD tries to think about.

I'm also all for getting Morgan off the microphone.

Too many times I've found myself yelling at the screen for him to just shut up. It's like he doesn't have anything to say, so he just makes stuff up. And then he argues about it, like it's some sort of golden pearl.
