There are not many fine hitters "balanced" enough to have led the league in base hits and also in walks.

I can only think of 3 fellows who remarkably, did so, in the SAME season.

base hits leaders can often be someone with way more ABs than other comparable players

average and walks leaders would be a better combo IMO

"average and walks leaders would be a better combo IMO"
...................................

Italian beef and sausage would be even a better combo IMO

BA champ and walks leader, is fairly common, Ted Williams did it, in four different seasons. The rareness of being the actual base hits leader and walks leader in the same season, makes it so trivial.

And most importantly, it is my tivia question of choice.
Please venture a guess, or ask a tivia question you enjoy.

I know Hornsby did it, though I think he lead with only like 75 walks when he did.

Yaz, Boggs, Gehrig and Musial all lead in both, but I am pretty sure not in the same seasons.

Ashburn, Hamilton and Barnes all did it along with Hornsby. Is there another one?

As far as I know,
You got them all, I was leaving Barnes off, as to the time era/games played, but I guess he is qualified.

You win an Italian Beef- sausage combination, with sweet peppers, for your answer !

Here are the four that I have doing it.............

Lenny Dykstra Philadelphia 1993
Carl Yastrzemski Boston 1963
Richie Ashburn Philadelphia 1958
Rogers Hornsby St. Louis (NL) 1924

Dykstra walked 129 times that year, the only only of the group to top 100 walks.
