IMHO, Rickey would be a HOFer for developing the idea of a farm system and being the GM who built the Cards into a team that won six pennants during his tenure, without the impending challenge to the color line. Of course, if ;) that move succeeds, it can only add to Rickey's luster.

Below is our master ballot of contributors as generated by the participants in the BBFVC Progressive Contributors Committee and a database supplied by jalbright. I am positing this now because the 1941 election isn't far away. Bolded are newcomers to the ballot. Please feel free to suggest new candidates to consider as I'm only caretaker of this end of the project and could have easily overlooked someone:
This paragraph needs to be corrected, mainly the part in blue.

I'd like to nominate Cap Anson & Frank Chance to be added to the master list.
The biggest hurdle each has to overcome is that they're already in as players. I'm not voting for such candidates, and I'm sure some others aren't, either.

I'd have no problem voting for Rube Foster as a player even though he's in as a contributor.

These contributors were dropped from the master list, but could be added back in by nomination:
...
Does anyone have a link for Frank Osborn?
IIRC,
When I read about Leavitt and Osborn a few months ago, there were two internet sources on Osborn provided by AG2004. --maybe in the BBFHOF discussion thread. One of them covered father Frank, the son, and the firm substantially.
Beyond what you asked, for me the bottom line was to eliminate Leavitt from consideration (for baseball honors) and to vote for Frank Osborn or add him to my queue(*), satisfied that he deserves a big share of credit to the father-son-firm.
*although I actually missed the annual BBFHOF contributors election, during a brief peak in paid work as a research assistant
Contributors:
...
Franklin Pierce
The 14th President of the US usually picks up a few votes for worst President.
That should be F.P. Adams.

I really enjoy being a part of the Veteran's Committee, but I find the contributors take me a very long time to submit a vote I'm happy with. Now, normally I'm fine with this, but this summer I'll be extremely busy.
If you're fine keeping me a voter in the chance that I will have fine to contribute when I can, I'd like that. If you want to kick me out until I'm able to contribute regularly again, I'm fine with that, too. If you want to kick me out entirely, I understand. Just thought I'd let you guys know.
As far as the players vote, I have a pretty good idea and list that should last the summer.

Brad was on site yesterday. Perhaps a PM would spur him. The other two have been inactive for weeks (henrich over a month, Blue Blood 3 1/2 weeks).

The Zaldo brothers of Havana, Cuba attended Fordham University and played baseball there in the 1870s before returning to Cuba where they helped establish the game.
Anyone who finds that interesting should follow the link provided by jjpm in #1 and go up to the parent page at Fordham.

I can't vote for the elder Spink, as (a) there were several other competing sports publications at the time, and (b) his tenure at TSN wasn't that long, anyway. The younger Spink has been an editor since 1914, and the Sporting News did manage to survive the Great War, something which Francis Richter's Sporting Life failed to do.
[NOTE: This is still 1946, and it's going to take time for us to fully appreciate the contributions of Conlon, Lardner, and Osborn. We should be getting to that point in about another two or three decades.]

This is officially closed. I'll tally up the votes when I get a chance.
@AG2004--Do you have any on line info regarding Osborn? I couldn't even find a reference to him in a period newspaper. Any info on him you might be able to provide would be greatly appreciated.
There's some info at the Osborns (father Frank C. and son Kenneth H.) in the RPI Alumni Hall of Fame:
http://www.rpi.edu/about/alumni/inductees/osborn.html
There's a bit on Osborn Engineering at
http://planning.city.cleveland.oh.us/landmark/arch/archDetail.php?afil=&archID=189&sk=death&sd=DESC
Tiger Stadium was also designed by Osborn:
http://buildingsofdetroit.com/places/tiger
Some structures associated with Frank C. Osborn, who died in 1922:
League Park (1910 modernization)
Comiskey Park (1910, in association with Zachary Taylor Davis)
Griffith Stadium
Polo Grounds (1911 reconstruction)
Fenway Park
Braves Field
Sportsman's Park (1922 renovations)
Yankee Stadium
Osborn Engineering and son Kenneth were also responsible for the 1925 expansion of Forbes Field.
A majority of teams currently play in Osborn-designed parks.
[NOTE: It won't be until the 1970s cookie-cutter dual-purpose stadiums arise that we'll realize how good Osborn's work was. When the 1990s and their "throwback" designs arrive, Osborn's influence will be evident.]
