Who had the most career hits through their first 2,000 career MLB games?

I would go with Ty Cobb followed by Willie Keeler and then Jesse Burkett.

Alright then I would go with Willie Keeler first.
I would be surprised if its not Cobb.
The highest post WW2 total i could find was Tony Gywnn with 2645. Musial also had over 2600. By my rekoning Cobb had around 2750-2800 (gamelogs not available so i dont know his exact 2000th game.
EDIT: Looks like Keeler was around 2830.

According to my source, it's not Cobb, Keeler, Burkett, Gwynn, or Musial.

Darn it, it looks like either my source was wrong, or the question had a qualifier that I missed. Derek Jeter played recently played his 2,000th game, and the YES Network asked the question. The answer they gave was Al Simmons (with somewhere around 2,750 hits), but it sure looks like Keeler had more than that. I'm not sure, but maybe the question said "since 1901" or something like that.
Sorry.

He probably holds the record for post deadball careers or something.
