Use this thread to post pictures from Citi Field...Section #'s and Rows would be great. Also, as a bonus maybe some comments about entrance/exits or restroom/concession service? Anything at all

Do we REALLY need yet another Citi Field thread ???????:crazy
we probably don't, just thought it would be a good idea to centralize actual pictures/views from sections...BF could be the "authoritative source" for when you're trying to buy tickets to know exactly what you're getting.
But if you're not into it that's fine too, can't please everyone I guess.

Yes we do. As a matter of fact I want to start a Thread of my own right here at America's very own Baseball Fever because I am very upset that I can not see the "Iron Triangle" from within my seat at the Citi Field (new 2009 home of the New York "Mets") and I want to find like-minded and kindred spirits who are also traumatized and distraught at this who will sympathize with me.

Per peter's post, I cannot believe that the outfield wall is such a mess, there are two ads that actually need to curve between two sections because of all the angles. It's completely ridiculous.
I think I'd liken CitiField to GABP: neat exterior, absolute WTF interior.

Yup, because everyone who thinks CitiField is ugly is a Yankee fan, and everyone who thinks FYS is ugly is a Mets fan. I'm a red sox fan, kid, but that doesn't have anything to do with anything. I'm just amazed that the people with season tix here don't have too many obstructions given how the CitiField thread was going after it was first opened to the public.

Yeah, I'm very pleased with my seat location despite the hike in cost. I was a bit worried during the relocation process last August since there was nothing to look at and no way to tour the construction site. All I could do was trust my rep's word that the view was comparable to my Shea seats in Mezz Box 500 (Section 1).

Hey, nice forum. I just discovered this board last week!
I'd been a Saturday Plan holder since 2000 (minus 2 years in the middle), and am up to 8 seats on that plan since I have a wife and 3 kids and usually have 3 people coming with us from our circle of extended family and friends. I took the plunge this year and also signed up for a pair of full season tickets, planning on using about 30 of them myself and figuring resale of unused tickets would never be higher, but it's not been proving all that true in April.
Nice seats Johnql. Those were my dream seats when I looked into getting a season's plan for the very first time, but all the Prom Club Golds were sold out, so I got a Caesars Club plan at the same price. Given the difficulty I've had in reselling at face for those prices in this economy, next year I think I'll try to get a low row in Prom Club or center seats in Row 1 in Prom Reserved (doesn't everybody say that?).
Initially I got put in Row 9 in Section 331 of CCLUB, which I didn't care for too much as I couldn't see the in-play corner of left field, or even the out of town scoreboard. For the money I was paying I couldn't believe that last part.
View of the infield (very nice):
http://inlinethumb61.webshots.com/10748/2640549680026680751S600x600Q85.jpg (http://sports.webshots.com/photo/2640549680026680751RrIDwo)
View of left field (whereza out-of-town scoreboard?!):
http://inlinethumb55.webshots.com/42038/2743632290026680751S600x600Q85.jpg (http://sports.webshots.com/photo/2743632290026680751LXSlmV)
For that matter the entire left field side can't see that out of town scoreboard. I really liked the one at Shea, and would love to see that panoply of ads surrounding the center field video screen replaced with the scoreboard display, but I guess it ain't happening. At least put another one over the right field stands! But I guess then the ticket holders in the back rows of the right field Prom Reserved would complain about the obstruction. Grrr!
I called to see if I could move down a few rows after the season began, and they told me they could put me in Section 332 Row 7, not much of an improvement, so I passed. I checked the on-line webpage for new season's plans and the "best available" was indeed Sec 332 Row 7. I kept at it though, and one day, Section 332 Row 3 popped up! I called my ticket rep and he moved me to those seats starting with the May homestand.
Here's the view from THOSE seats:
Infield view:

If I stand up (without leaning over) I can see the furthest corner of the grass and warning track in left field:
http://inlinethumb17.webshots.com/39504/2862332800026680751S600x600Q85.jpg (http://sports.webshots.com/photo/2862332800026680751exmwRY)
Panoramic view stitched from 3 shots (now my desktop photo stretched across two monitors):
http://inlinethumb53.webshots.com/42548/2895105670026680751S600x600Q85.jpg (http://sports.webshots.com/photo/2895105670026680751sRVrmM)
I really like Row 3 of the CCLUB left field seats. When I was at the game on an 85+ degree sunny day (Saturday 4/25) sitting in the Left Field Landing, I could see that Row 3 of the left field CCLUB seats was the first row in the shade from the beginning of the game. The right field CCLUB seats started out shaded but moved to being in the sun as the game went on, while the left field seats got more shaded. Row 3 is also the first row protected by the Prom overhang when it rains (as I found out at the first 4/3 exhibition game vs. the Red Sox). So to me, CCLUB Row 3 in Left Field is the ideal seat (given that I'm not upgrading to Bronze or better), if only I could move a few sections closer to home plate! (Not that I'd turn down Row 1 or 2 either!)
Finally, the LFLAND tickets for my Saturday plan. I like the view from LFLAND all right, but unless you're in Row ONE you won't see the play on fly balls hit to the left field warning track, or see the out of town scoreboard. I'm in Sec 339 which is past the Prom overhang, which is nice except for sitting in the baking sun on a hot day. I used to sit in the Mezz Reserved and am used to the overhang providing shade. Next year hopefully I can move over a few sections (to be under the overhang) and/or move down a few rows (though Row One is probably not happening).

Here's a view from MY dream seats - Caesars Club 320 (shots taken during my CF tour back in February).
Agreed! Ticket costs aside, that would be my ideal seat in the entire park, 320 Row 1, on the "Excelsior" level right behind home plate. But CCLUB Plat is a $175/210 ticket for games categorized as "Silver" or "Gold" (which are up by some ridiculous percent over last year) compared to your Prom Club Gold seats (75/90), and are not (in my opinion) worth $100-$120 more per ticket to sit one level lower/slightly closer.
With the benefit of experience I would say that the best bargain in the ballpark, in terms of viewing the game and resale value, would be sections 409-420 in Row 3. I love that my third-base side Caesars Club seats in Row 3 are in the closest row that's under the overhang, protecting me from the sun and rain for the entire game, but not in love with that ~$20 a ticket premium!

Move over one seat to your left (section 530, row 14, seat 10), and this is what you get:

Reason: the stands have a very sharp "bend" at section 530.
http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3606/3485579134_ae38328ebb_b.jpg
(Photo taken April 28, 2009. © Gary Dunaier. Link to upload on Flickr.com: here (http://www.flickr.com/photos/14504460@N02/3485579134/in/set-72157617365402389).)
Unfortunately, the seats where the "bend" occurs differs in each row. In row 3, the "bend" is between seats 3 and 4. Caveat emptor (let the buyer beware) is very much the watchword when offered tickets in section 530.

Great game tonight seats not the best. Sec 515 row 12 seat 2. Had to look trough a pole and around people going up and down the stairs. A lot off people including myself tripped on the stairs(only lost 20% of the 2 beers I was holding). But when Santana pitches as good as tonight I made due.

Views of RF from 405, Row 6, Seat 16, both seated and standing.
One loses the view of RF and has to look through a bed frame. However, I'll trade my view of the infield for for a loss of the RF corner.

mets16, was that your ticketed seat or did you just happen to go there?
After seeing the picture I got so intrigued that I took in a half inning or so from that very location last night, and I took some pictures, not only of the platform but of the, er, "activity" as well. I'll be uploading them later.
Taking into consideration the fact that this was not my seat, and that I guess I go to ballgames more for the "ballpark experience" than to actually watch the game, it was an interesting experience sitting there. But based on that experience, brief as it was, the Mets definitely need to not only disclose that Section 503, Row 1, Seat 1 is an obstructed view seat, but offer it at a reduced price.

seems like the team should have said to the designers, what way can we have the fewest blocked views. and voila...problem probably could have been solved somehow. That is why i opted to buy seats from Dishy, she stated to me her seats had no obstructions. So therefore I dont have to worry about it and can go to my seats knowing ill be able to see the game.

As promised, a few photos from Thursday night... I was sitting in the seat, facing straight ahead...
but first, I think the photos mets16 posted are actually from section 502 or 504, not 503... 502/4 row 1 seat 1 has the steps leading away from you, as shown in mets16's shot... not that the view is any "better" than the view from 503-1-1...

Here's where it gets exciting. End of the 5th, top of the 6th. We've got not only the usual between-inning traffic, but they also had the T-shirt launch, so we also had fans going to the front of the platform hoping to catch a shirt...

...but the worst has to be this inconsiderate schmuck, who decided the platform would be a great place to watch a few pitches in the top of the 6th inning. Never mind that he may be blocking someone else's view of home plate...

No, that was in my section, but I was a few rows up (10). I got in early so I wanted to see what the fuss was about, being that I really only noticed good things back in March at the STJ. game. But if I had that seat, I would not sit there. That's where I feel Citi Field has a defense, that you can walk around around the OF. I know it doesn't make up for your $23 dollar seat but it's something.

From what I understand the first 4 rows and 4 seats in the Promenade Level are ostructed by the plexiglass in each section on both sides. That comes to a total of 32 seats that the Mets cannot/should not sell as STs. In the PRI and PR at an average of $1782 per seat that comes to potentially $57,024 in lost revenue if these tickets don't sell as STs or at all. I have to believe it would be a good ROI for the Mets to replace the plexiglass encased stairwells with portals/tunnels - not to mention a good idea to un-piss off the already pissed off fans that sit in and around those seats. I took a look at CBP on SeatData and they have portals/tunnels all around the upper deck. If I can figure this out I hope the Wilpon's can!:rant::rant::rant:

I think I know the answer, but I hope I'm wrong...
If you're behind the "moat" on the Sterling level, will they let you cross it, or even just walk in it, to get pictures?

Unless you have a gold or Platinum ticket they won't let you on that front walkway. They were really strict about that. Had a green jacket and a red jacket stationed right there at all times.
There is a walkway behind the regular sterling seats that you can take some nice shots from (that's where my shots from behind home plate are from). Lots of ushers there but noone said a word to me. Out of reflex I was taking my shots quick expecting to be rushed along but noone said anything. Very strange...

Yayy, first post  but why do you say this? The centerfield TV is a bit too gigantic with all the ads, but the RF scoreboard is great, and this comming from Shea who's only strength was its scoreboard. The RF board gives you full lineups at all times, count, linescore, time of day, pitch speed, pitch type, pitcher info (pitches, strikes, K's), batter stats, what the batter did in each of his at bats in that game, wide screen replays, and wide screen live shots of all balls hit into play, and it displays everything neat and easy on the eyes. One of the best scoreboards in the majors IMO at least information wise.

It seems a little redundant to have the line score on both of the scoreboards out there. And one thing that's bothered me about Citi Field is the out of town scoreboard. It looks like they forgot to design it, so they decided to hang it off the roof. I'd love to see the equipment rental ads taken out and the out of town scoreboard moved to either side of the giant center field board, which would be a nice nod to the Shea scoreboard with vertical AL and NL scores along each side.
Has anyone sat in the upper rows of the left field upper deck behind the OOT board? Does it obstruct the view at all?

While the left field OOT board does look like it was just thrown up there, it is a pretty good board. Shows every score, outs, baserunners, and pitchers. But it would look much nicer next to the board in CF. The obstructions from sitting behind there are weird. I never sat there for a game, but ive been up there to check out the view. The board doesnt really obstruct the game persay, as you can still see the entire field, minus the blind spot right in front of you that has nothing to do with the OOT board, but it feels like youre watching the game through a tunnel. You can see the field fine, but the board obstructs your views of the stadium. So say youre looking from left field in twoards the 1b dugout, , you see the field fine, but you dont see any seats higher than say the 4th or 5th row. Almost feels like youre watching from a cave. They do have HDTVs on the other side of the OOT board to compensate for this however. You are also high enough that you dont lose any fly balls.
So id say the view isnt "obstructed", its just a very very unusual view.

I don't need that much detail. The way they had it at Shea was fine. Inning and score, that's all.
