Willie Mays played center field for the 1954-55 Santurce team in the Puerto Rican Winter League. Who played left field for the club?

That was a great outfield -- Bob Thurman was in left and Roberto Clemente was in right.
It was a great team, period. Don Zimmer, who played third, called it the best winter ballclub ever. Among other things, Sam Jones won the Triple Crown of pitching.

According to Roberto Clemente's biography, he played LF that winter.

So he did, Tony -- I jumped to a conclusion. I looked back at The Santurce Crabbers history, and in his early years there, Roberto played left.

Too bad there aren't any films preserved showing that great team that won the Caribbean Series Tournament too.
