So I'll be in NYC mid July--may ask for a couple of press tickets to see the new YS but I wanted to go online and buy a pair as well--this is for a Monday night Baltimore game - I punch in two best available and what do I get?

This may have been covered here before - but $900 for the 9th row behind home plate? (plus about $25 per/handling)

I have decent season seats just above first base, lower deck at Angels Stadium - I think the face is about 12 bucks a game (tremendous seats) Some things I just do not miss about living in NYC - who the hell will pay that??

No one that's why those seats are always empty lol. Try stubhub, you can probably get a better deal than that.

bbman--oh, I'm sure even Ticketmaster has plenty--it just struck me as funny

i was just up in Minnesota, it was opening day--i checked when I got in--they had the same seats as the $900s, available opening day--$70

I knew the prices at YS were sorta silly, but gimme a break--9th row, $900 per? Good luck with those, Yanks.

hey I know - I'll buy 'em--then scalp them to make a lot of money :)

Yanks--donate the empties to charity, every night--put some loud, hungry kids down there to stir it up--

$900?

$900??

PLEASE don't try StubHub. I'd rather see StubHub go out of business. Last year, me and my brother paid $1600 for 2 pieces of paper that said "THIS IS YOUR TICKET" for the last game of the stadium. You'd think since it was the last game, they'd send you the actual ticket. They don't even send you the actual ticket. I'd never use StubHub again. Thank God one of my buddies from high school gets season tickets now.

I saw on TV where they took the average ticket price, then looked at the stadium, the quality of the team.....and by far the best bang for your buck is ANAHEIM STADIUM. I think the avg price is just over $20.

This is the first year since 1995 that we are not vacationing in Anaheim. My kids are flipping out as we are going to Orlando. Imagine kids who hate the idea of WDW. (they love DLR).

Can you send me some Inn n Out double doubles, please. :hissyfit:

Great deal. When you get a chance , shoot me a PM about your NYC trip. I get back from Orlando on the 19th and I think that's when you get here.

I 'loaned' your Polo Grounds book to my dad, a fanatic Brooklyn Dodger fan, and he can't even put your book down. We NEED a sequel to deal with the glory days, the decline and rebuilding of the Giants, and then the final years between teams, etc.

well, if you were smart, you would of picked the option to pick up your tickets at the game...you go to the window, or stubhub machine and they print your tickets (on actual tickets) for you right there.

I don't think Stub Hub even offers that option this year.

Wait--you think I actually bought these laughers? $900 a seat to watch a Monday night Yanks/Os game?? Sorry, man--I'm hoping the idiot has not been born yet who would throw that kind of scratch away for a baseball game - 9th row, no less.

what does that have to do with anything? Whoever ordered the tickets should of realized that window/stadium pickup will be better quality then print at home.

Believe it or not, there may be one or two out there who prefer the convenience of getting ASAP a valid piece of paper that will get them into the ballpark over the idea of keeping a hard ticket as a memento.

I'm not one of them, but I'm just saying...

it was the first time we bought from StubHub, and maybe they didn't offer that option for that game. Once again, I didn't order the tickets, so I don't know.

Go ahead ! Rub it in and remind me I won't be at the Big A this year !!!!:hissyfit:

If you can PM me and let me know when you are coming to NYC, I will see if I am off from work or if I am 'getting sick' that day.
