Which stadiums were fastest to make changes to their new digs after seeing unwanted results?
Did any teams make significant stadium adjustments during their inaugural season?
Recent adjustments off the top of my head...
Comerica brought in LF wall after 3 seasons
Petco brought in the RCF wall after 5 seasons
CBP moved their LF wall after 2 seasons
I know it's early, but anybody think the Yankees will change their RF wall if the current trend keeps up? Anybody know why they changed the dimensions from RYS since they said all along they would not?

How could they change it? It's cement with padding in front, not just padding.

The Yankees will offer to relocate those people to seats that are 5x the cost. Take it or leave it.

The White Sox basically built a new park starting from like the 2nd or 3rd year of the Cell. I don't know if that woulod be considered fast, since it took years to do.

I think it was at least 10 years before the Sox made any changes to New Comiskey. It's been open nearly 20 years and they just finished renovations.

Comerica didn't just bring in LF, they also brought in CF...was 430 and the flag pole was originally in play. Also the wall was covered in IVY (or something llike that). Smart move though. not only did it improve offense but also they moved the bullpens from RF to LF and added some quality/ yet cheap seats.

Center Field was always 420 at Comerica Park, it was never 430.

I really think the Yankees are going to wait to see what happnes after OYS is demolished because some think the Old Stadium might be effecting wind patterns. Honestly if the new Stadium is a bandbox like its turning out to be I don't think the field would get much work done on it, too much to work on with the bullpens and MP. What will probably happen is there will be changes to the Great Hall, enclosing it so the wind doesn't go through, enclosing the upper deck concourse and closing those slats on the roof in the upper deck. They'd probably invest in a humidor before they start tearing the field up, unless they want to get rid of the resturant in center than u may see them changing the distances.

humidor has worked wonders at Coors Field, but i wonder how effective it would be at near sea-level

Good points. Pushing the walls back would probably be the last option. Although if they decide to push them back 10 feet, they probably wouldn't lose too many seats.

Jacobs Field had the bleachers expanded in the 2nd or 3rd year and replaced the solid foul pouls with chain link. They also closed the last luxury box down the first base line in the corner shortly after the park opened because the view was obscured by the mezzanine.

The Vet's fence was raised from 8 to 12 feet half way through its first season in 1971.

Minor correction: Petco brought in the RCF wall prior to the 2006 season... only after 2 seasons.
