** Petition to Re-Paint CitiField's OF Walls --> BLUE **

So, I've been to CitiField twice now and have heard the sheer outcry amongst Mets fans (particularly, on talk radio) about the lack of a Mets presence inside the stadium. I could not agree more. Metsblog has just reported a Mets Hall of Fame will be constructed somewhere in centerfield. While that's all well and good, I believe one improvement above all others will REALLY make this park feel homey.

I'm speaking about the OF walls. Black?? Dark, dark green?? Whatever it is, it's an eyesore and dampens the festive spirit we should be experiencing at our home ballpark. Paint them BLUE. The line designating HRs and the foul poles (orange) were a great touch, but when you have black walls it reminds you of the Giants.

I second that. There's no rule that says your ballpark has to have a rainbow of colors that matches the team uniforms. I like the soot walls and dark green seats.

No thank you, those Dark Dark Blue/Green Walls with the different heights and orange lines will separate the interior of Citi from the 29 other ballparks.

It is unique to the Mets and isn't that what everyone is complaining about not having? It is like getting a new carpet color, it'll take awhile to get used to but soon - it will be an afterthought.

Don't get me wrong, I like the green seats. I think blue seats would look tacky. Take U.S. Cellular Field (White Sox) for example...

Blue looks cheap in the stands but I don't think it applies to the color of the OF walls. Maybe I'm in the minority but to me, blue walls with an orange HR line screams 'Let's Go Mets!'

I like the outfield wall at Citi Field. Every other park's walls in the majors are either blue or green it seems, so the wall color at Citi makes it unique.
