Help with Ulead Gif animator

Trying to save a swing to Gif. What am I doing wrong


Here is what I am doing. Putting the video on laptop

Using quicktime to edit the video to just show the swing.

I than save the edited swing. It doesnt give me an option as to save as type. I just click save

I open the video in ulead and try saving it as GIF and it gives me operation failed. Thanks for any help and thanks to Duke for trying to help me through this as well

Are you able to open the file in the animator and veiw the individual frames?

yes. The edited the swing had like 41 frames or so and they all popped up. I am gonna be gone for a few hours but will post back later. Thanks!
