This year, I would like to visit various MLB ballparks but there are some limitations to my travels.
1. It's cheaper for me personally to fly than to drive
2. I'm not able to rent a car because I'm under 25
3. I travel on a standby basis so I can only go to cities in which Delta has light loads
4. I want to walk-up to buy tickets in order to avoid wasting money
5. I can only travel on Wed. and Thu. due to work so I only want to go to Wed. day games

This is why I ask members of my large baseball family to help me. If anyone would like to help me by telling me the best way to get from the airport to the ballpark and vice-versa via public transportation or personally transporting me from the airport to the ballpark and I would gladly buy 2 tickets instead of one.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Avis dropped the age for renting; though I'm not certain if it's an all across the board at any other agency type of deal..

I'm 19 so it's still a lot of money to rent so I would like to avoid it as much as I can. Public transportation is my prefered method or going to a game with someone on this board (which I would be willing to pay for both tickets).

Perhaps I can contribute something to this thread. I also like to travel and watch baseball. I also try to keep costs down as much as humanly possible, so, no driving to games in faraway cities. I want cities where one can fly into the airport (hopefully for cheap) and easily take public transportation to the game. Here's a (partial) list of cities:

New York (obviously):
From LaGuardia one can take an express bus into Manhattan and the subway to Yankee Stadium, or there is a bus I took last year from Laguardia directly to Shea.
From Kennedy one can take the subway to Yankee or Shea easily.

Chicago: O'Hare is Blue Line (el) to the loop and Red line to Wrigley or Comiskey (I refuse to call it US Cellular). I'm flying into Midway next month and going to Wrigley and from there it's Orange Line to the loop instead.

Cleveland: Red Line train from Hopkins airport to Tower City downtown, 5 minute walk to Jacobs (Progressive) Field. I've done this many, many times, only driving to the airport and then taking the train into downtown.

Baltimore: Light Rail from BWI to Camden Yards. I'm looking into doing this this summer.

Philadelphia: Has light rail service from the airport to Citizens Bank Park (I think, not sure about the details).

Minneapolis: I'll be doing this in June, flying into MSP and taking the Hiawatha light rail into the Metrodome station. It looks quick and easy, but I'll find out.

St. Louis: Fly into Lambert and take the Metro train right to Stadium Station and back. Easy.

Cincinnati: I think you're on your own from CVG to downtown. I always drive there. Of course, you probably know all about this one.

Pittsburgh: Same thing. The "T" doesn't go all the way out to the airport. I drive into Pittsburgh.

Detroit: I usually drive here as well. I don't think there's quick public transportation from the airport to downtown, but someone might know better.

Milwaukee: There's definitely buses you could take from the airport to Miller Park. I don't think it's easy or fast at all, though, from what I remember living there.

Everywhere else (west coast, etc.): I'll let someone else fill in!

For anyone else, take the TANK 2X, goes CVG to downtown, walk down to the riverfront, it's about 10 blocks but I've made this walk several times (except from a different bus).
