Hello,
I have uploaded video from my last visit to Old Comiskey in 1990. I wanted to capture the essence of the park, so I walked through the concourses and the different sections with the camera.
The footage is in three parts, the first of which can be found here:

Enjoy!

I was there in Sep 1990 the nite Thigpen broke the save record. Fisk nearly roofed one (scoreboard said it was 457 feet). That game had some film used for a CBS show with Charles Kuralt. Aired about two weeks after the game, my wife and I saw ourselves in the crowd while watching the show. If I knew we made the cut, I would have recorded the show!:D

Very nice video indeed broker! But I must admit, the one "Look" that really captured it all during the run of this . . . was your wife's reaction (an assumption of course) when you inquired "had enough?" . . . If I could have a dime for every time my wife has given me a similar look to this during my sessions of photography around a particular ballpark . . . ha! I usually recognize it and have deemed it, (and unfortunately, rarely heed) "The Look" . . . Great video!

Digger, You had my wife's "look" pegged.....Her highlights for that evening were the italian beef sandwich and the beer! At least she was a trooper and traipsed around the park with me and my handycam vs keeping her fat ass parked in the boxes! LOL! Thanks for the feedback....

BTTS,

I am in awe. Wow. You really captured the atmosphere of dear old Comiskey.

I was fortunate to go to three games there, two of which were in the final season, including the final night game. This park is extremely underrated...the current stadium across the street and that one on the other side of town can't hold a candle to it.

Thank you very much for sharing this. You made my day.

Very nice. Thank you.

I will say this though. WHAT A DUMP!!!!

Is Andy the clown still alive?

The Left field picnic area is pretty cool.

The wife is pretty hot too!!!

When I go to the new Yankee Stadium I'll take some high def video and post it here. Oh Wait. That's right, you're not allowed to video record at Yankee Stadium. What was I thinking!!!!!!!

Wow... that was great. It brought back lots of memories, especially the areas under the stands. Thanks for preserving all this. Oh, and I love your wife. ;)

Wife: "What a bunch of sickos thinking I was hot - my hair looked like I stole it from Flock of Seagulls...!"
LOL

Andy the Clown, sadly, died in 1995. The guy had leather lungs - I can remember listening to Bob Elson/Red Rush radio broadcasts as a kid and hearing Andy in the background.

He even has his own Wikipedia page:

Cheers!
