I don't know if this is the right thread for this, but here goes.
This Friday, April 3, from 2.00pm to 5.00pm, SNY is scheduled to re-broadcast the 4/24/07 game against Colorado where Damion Easley, down to his (and the game's) final strike, hit a home run in the bottom of the 10th inning to keep the Mets alive, a game the Mets would win in the 12th inning.
Can someone make a DVD of this re-broadcast for me? I was at the game, and I caught the ball Easley hit. I've seen the clip as it was shown on the Mets' website, but unfortunately they quickly cut away from the ball sailing into the stands to show Easley running the bases. It wasn't until I actually saw a SNY re-broadcast of this game that I actually got to see myself catching the ball - either during the highlights or during the closing sign-off (I don't remember which), they ran a longer clip of the ball going over the fence.
So if anyone can make a quality DVD of this Friday's SNY re-broadcast, I'd appreciate it very much.
Thanks!

I can do it. I just programmed my DVR to record the game. However, I don't have HD reception, so maybe someone else can take my place. But if no one does, I'll transfer my recording to a DVD for you.

I don't think the game replays are shown in HD, anyway.

I can record it (via my TV Tuner) to MPEG and upload to my website so that you can download it. Though as Dan said, it wont be HD.

Typical Gary. He's everywhere. Not only did he catch the ball, he got a shot of the homerun being hit.

That would be cool. Thanks, Richard. I'd still like the DVD, but if I can download the broadcast maybe I can make a still of the moment where I catch the ball.
(When it comes to all this high-tech stuff, I don't know what can or can't be done... and even the stuff that can be done, I don't know how to do it. I'm one of those old "fogeys" who remembers life before VCRs even existed...)

(Whew!)
What are the odds of something like that happening? Now that's what I call... Amazin'.

Sounds fine with me, the other guy can make the DVD for you which will probably be better quality anyway, I'll record and upload to my site and PM you the URL once it's done. At least this way you can watch it right away and then later on get the DVD for later viewing.
By the way, I have a huge archive of Post Game videos from 06 to April of 08. I checked and I have the postgame for that game! Check PM for details on how to view the videos.
It's Postgame Part 3, at 5:45 into the video where they show the replay. It's not very good quality though.

Gary, SNY really screwed this up. I DVR'd the broadcast but when I came home to check it out, I found out that they had aired Game 1 of the '06 NLDS (Mets-Dodgers, John Maine game). They also cut into the game repeatedly to announce the signing of Gary Sheffield. I don't know why they switched games. You'll have to keep an eye out for the Rockies game and when they air it, let me know and I'll DVR it and burn it to DVD for you. Sorry.

Darn!
You know, that's not the first time that's happened, where they advertised 4/24/07 but actually showed another game.
Thanks anyway.

Yeah same thing happened here, went to check recording and found that NCAA basketball cut out the first three innings, and the rest was Mets vs Dodgers.
Ohh well, maybe some other time :dismay:
