Now that the White Sox placed Jerry Owens on waivers, who will play centerfield? Who do the Sox prefer -- Anderson or Wise?

I have a feeling they're going to platoon them, and Anderson will probably see additional playing time as a late-inning defensive move.

Interesting, I hadn't heard that. I didn't see it on the MLB.com transactions page, where did you get that from? Where's Cowtipper when you need him?

I saw it on the ticker on the MLB Network yesterday. Pods might be a decent option, and probably a popular one.
I like what I've seen of DeWayne Wise, but he doesn't strike me as an everyday player. Solid defensively, and he seems to be a very smart baserunner. He probably doesn't hit enough, but neither does Anderson. If they're in the race at the trade deadline, I'm sure there'll be some other options out there.

Podsednik signed a minor league deal with the Sox.

am i the only one who thinks Anderson will not cut it in a sox uni? he's too erratic at the plate and cant seem to get a hit when we need one. i remember a couple games when he couldnt get the bunt down either...along with Wise.
hopefully pods can be a fraction of the player he was in 05

No, you're not alone. Anderson can't hit his weight, he's proved it for 3 years. Podsednik isn't the Podsednik of 2005, but he's still an upgrade over what we had.
