This was the correct answer until around two years ago. That's a hint.

My final hint is there were two HOF players who both played on the same team in Cooperstown. They were on the opponents club and played against Cooperstown for a number of years and faced Jack Chesbro.

The year was 1893.

Tony, I didn't see your answer on the Cooperstown question. I'm sure you know that Chesbro only pitched there at the end of the 1896 season going 3-3, although he did pitch a game against Cooperstown in 1894 at the Middletown Asylum. Bob

Jack Chesbro was someone's answer to the question. The correct answer is..... Sol White and Frank Grant. They played on the Cuban Giants team that faced the Cooperstown Athletics. These two teams played many games against each other.
