Babe Ruth Field in Haverstraw, NY, where the movie "Headin' Home" was shot in the 1920s is one of the more than 100 added places in "Roadside Baseball - The Expanded, Upgraded Second Edition" - I thank many of the members of this fantastic site for suggestions, comments, etc - this is the best place for all things stadium/ballpark related, in my book--

He looks pretty young in that photo. Does the book include his forays to Greenwood Lake, NY?
I think Babe used to stay at Greck's Maplewood Inn up there. Mrs. Greck had some good stories to tell. I believe she has passed away. Curiously, the current Yankee captain just built a new home in GWL. I guess it is the place Yankee greats like to stay.

Mary Ellen--
Thanks for that - Ruth IS young here--1920 is when the movie was shot.
Good info on GWL, too--I've been there and have written an article about it, but this book was pretty crammed (with lots of Ruth sites, too) so maybe that will make it into the third edition, if there is one.
There are some ultra rare photos of Ruth from 1924 in Brea, CA--an 18 year old photog shot them and his son allowed me to use them in the book - Ruth batting against Walter Johnson, etc.
