Oscar Madison. I think the batter was Roberto Clemente.

Clemente declined, because he didn't want to hit into a TP. The batter was Bill Mazeroski.

The story I heard was that Roberto was unable to hit into a triple play and that he had to slow his run down so much that it looked fake so they used Bill instead.
