Who holds the all-time record for most seasons with at least 5 triples?
Who holds the all-time record for most consecutive seasons with at least 5 triples?
Who is the active leader in consecutive seasons with at least 5 triples?

I'm taking a stab here.

Rickey was too busy admiring his hits to hit a lot of triples. And, he was happy to stop at 2nd so that he could steal 3rd. He only hit 5+ triples 4 times. :dismay: He easily should have hit 100+, instead of 66.

Ty Cobb had 22 seasons of 5 triples or more, all consecutive. Did anyone beat that?

Uhhh... I would like to think that's the record. I mean, how many players actually played more than 22 seasons????

And got 5 triples at that. Pretty impressive.

I think Sam Crawford's 17 consecutive years in double figures is even more so. [Well, obviously--he hit more triples in 17 years than Cobb in 24.]

Ty Cobb is the answer to the first two questions. Amongst the active players Ray Durham has the longest streak with 10 consecutive seasons with 5 triples (1995-2004). Ichiro Suzuki and Jimmie Rollins have an active streak of 5 or more triples in the last eight seasons.

Off topic, but I try to bring people's attention to Dave (161 OPS+) Orr whenever there's the slightest excuse. . . .
5'11'', 250 lbs. 31 triples in 1886
I'm willing to wait all year for Big Papi to hit his triple, because it's so much fun to watch. Imagine 31 from this guy.
