Just when the A's were starting to become interesting, Crosby plays third today replacing the sore shouldered Chavez. Not good, East Bay fans.

As a fan, the only thing to do about a chronically injured guy is to forget he exists and don't count on him for anything. Otherwise he drives you crazy.

That if he does do anything you will appreciate it instead of sweating bullets everytime the guy is out of the line up.

Let him rest until opening day. Give him less wear and tear, and hope he works out. I'm not holding my breathe though.

I had to look it up again, but Chavez is only 30. Has he been on/off the DL alot since 2006?

Cliff Pennington, anyone?

Crosby or Hannahan at 3B is not an option.

Hopefully Chavez doesn't join the A-roid club shut down to start the season :(.

Pennington looked good so far and Beane's signing of Nomar just looked that much better. There are options and I can't stand to watch Hannahan at third anymore. Or at the plate for that matter!

Hopefully he'll hang it up and put the A's and their fans out of their misery.

That'd be nice- Too bad he's already banked most of that $66M.
