Good luck to the Los Angeles Dodgers in 2009, EXCEPT for on the 26th, 27th, and 28th of June! ;)

Good deal for both sides. Can't wait for this season at Chavez Ravine.

The best thing about this news is I will no longer have to hear some Met fans whine about having not signed him.

Now it'll be "We should have signed him!"

Alright Manny, now it's up to you. You held out this long, now you need to deliver come Opening Day

I hope Manny's play continues to justify his salary. Good deal for both parties if it does.

About time. He was crazy to turn down the offer the first time around, but I guess he finally came to his senses.

The news was actually broken yesterday in another thread. It was a bit of farce in the end with Manny saying he was happy with the deal and apparently stating it was 'done' while McCourt and Boras were at the same time denying any deal was done and that Manny was the one holding out for more???

I guess the bottom line is that he has now signed and will start ST with the team and be ready when season begins. He should be the boon to the offence like he was last year, but the Dodgers' biggest worry is on the mound. Manny will help score the runs but will they be able to stop the opposition from scoring more??

Did anyone see Manny's interview on the MLB network last night? He ended it by saying, "Just don't poke me on Facebook."

I thought it was very funny the way he said that.

How many fake Manny profiles are there on Facebook before you find the real Manny??
