I've actually considered it. I thought it looked more promising than a lot of the training devices out there.
I mentioned it on here before and it was instantly slammed, but I still think it's got potential for your younger players.

I was intrigued by this also. Why was it slammed? Curious to know what folks didn't like about it?

Thanks!

Mark

I am also intrigued. There are other forums that praise , but it seems like this forum just killed it once someone asked about it. I would be interested to see if anyone actually used it.

The forum that attacked it, attacked the poster for spamming his product rather than buying an ad. The poster posed as a parent who just came across a new exciting product his son could use. This tactic is illegal in some states.

Actually unless someone posted a link before I did, I think I posted it originally and I am far from a spammer. I am a parent and I couldn't have anything less to do with this product. I'm constantly reading all the information provided on this site and I love it. I respect quite a few of the guys I had read posts from and I was hoping to get an unbiased opinion out of them.
If I'm not the OP, I apologize.

Thanks for showing this I may get this as a gift but if you buy it for a HS team you would have to get all sizes the way it looks. This would look good in one of the drill areas. You know hit off tee warm up drill than drill with this, go to soft toss to see results after a week you would be able to see what kind of results you get. If there swing get quicker I would say it would be a success. Can you get your money back?

I haven't got a clue, but if you can, it's got to be worth a shot.

I'll confess...I've got one. I've had it about 3 weeks (just before the last thread where it got hammered). I like it. I use for my 9U team as a hitting station. In many ways, I find it self teaching.

I set it in the outfield close but not too close to the fence and call it homerun derby (use wiffle balls). I keep a fairly narrow fair/foul lane. The kids have fun and I think they hit better after using it.

With my son I've also added some short BP (he started hitting the balls as I was throwing them back) and he gets a kick out of that and if you hit a line drive that way, I think you're doing a lot right.

It looks good to me I can see the benefits and it makes sense, however the only thing I don't like is that they suggest you set up the tee across from the belt buckle. If you do that with a regular bat you get the same inside out swing.

Nothing new here . . . my 7th & 8th grade gym teacher had one hanging in his office, that NOBODY wanted him to take down.

I think might have been an improved model . . . his had a shorter handle and holes drilled in it!!! :D :D

We use one of these at practice (high school level)

Everyone hates it. My main gripe with it is that it is TINY.

We have used many different names for it... at first we called it the "Red Metal Bat", then the "Wade Boggs", and finally now it's called the "Rooster". Don't ask why, I honestly couldn't tell you.

But the point is, I wouldn't reccomend this.
