He's too vertical. His back leg is almost straight. You can't drive off the backside very well from a straight leg.

I know. We've tried to get him down, but he comes up during the swing, so we just kept him up.

Regardless, things I'd look to change include........

1.) Lowering the hands to a better leveraged launch position.......while some pro's start with the hands high, by the time the front foot hits the ground, the hand are much closer to the level of the shoulder line......

2.) Lowering the tee to a more realistic height, waist and down..........

3.) Sitting a bit more before or during hip cock...........

Learning to extend the rear forearm into to full extension after contact to lenthen the hitting zone. Right now, he makes a "dead left" through contact and never gets extended. Right now his contact zone is very short and would be in trouble on the outside or any breaking ball............

I see that you've done number 1 only.............

1.) The tee is still too damn high........Your gonna get a left turn with the tee that high........

2.) Of course he rises up when he tries to sit more. He is a pre-strider. He can't push the shift, so he has to push something.....Cut him loose and let him push the shift............

Yes, because he extends the back leg to create force or movement. He must learn to turn from the back hip. Not by straightening the back leg.

He turns the torso in an upward spiral by twisting it with basically straight legs. He needs to learn to drive the back leg socket toward the pitch without straightening the back leg.
