Phoenix, AZ (Sports Network) - The Oakland Athletics have come to terms with first baseman Daric Barton and seven other players on contracts for the 2009 season.
Barton, entering his third major league season, hit .226 with nine homers and 47 RBI over 140 games last year.
Catcher Kurt Suzuki also came to terms on a one-year deal. He hit .279 with seven homers and 42 RBI in 148 contests in 2008.
The A's also agreed on one-year pacts with left-handed pitchers Dallas Braden, Dana Eveland and Gio Gonzalez; right-handed pitchers Sean Gallagher and Henry Rodriguez; and catcher Landon Powell.
