I am posting this message for three reasons.
First, I wanted to let people know that I have decided to bow out of this board. I know that by doing this I am in a way handing Them a victory, but the fact is that I have accumulated so many enemies and detractors over the years that I feel that I have become a distraction to the board. Every thread inevitably turns into a relentless series of personal attacks against me and it's become an unproductive waste of everyone's time.
Second, I wanted to thank the large number of people from whom I have learned so much, and received so much support, over the years. I'm not going to name names, largely for fear of leaving someone out, but you know who you are.
Third, I don't want Them to be able to spread the myth that I was banned from the board or asked to leave. Instead, I have left voluntarily.
