I was trying to get some tickets at Fenway Park and they were like $100 each. Unless you wanted Standing room, then that was $50 a ticket
I went to Wrigley last year for a Cubs-White Sox and I only paid $50
Is Fenway the toughest ticket to get?
I dont want standing room tickets. I would like to SIT during a game. I am not particular about where I sit as long as I can see. but I must sit

Boston and New York in general. Those are the first tickets to sell out for the opposing home team, thorugh my experience. That goes for ST, as well.

Tickets have apparently gone pretty quick for the Phillies this year. Unless they're holding back some blocks of tickets for release later, they're down to SRO for some series.

Yankees and the Mets are the hardest to get tickets for

Fenway. Althought with the new stadiums in NYC, i'm sure those will be equally as hard this year, especially for the Yanks since they spent 80 billions dollars this off season. Same thing rings true in ST, whenever the Yanks or Red Sox play, even on the road, it is usually a tough ticket. Fenway is worth $100 once or twice IMO. Old Yankee Stadium wasnt.

1. Fenway
2. Fenway
3. Fenway
A couple of years ago I ordered a pair of Fenway tickets right after they went on sale in the spring. It was to a ho-hum game against the "mighty" Royals in a mid-July game. Lo and behold, I was able to snag a pair of bleachers . . .
. . . TEN ROWS APART.
We got their early for the game, and looked at the availability for the rest of the season. There was NOTHING available until after Labor Day. Not even scattered single seats, because that was listed on some of the later games.

Only ten rows apart? One benefit of the weak economy is tickets to some Red Sox games this year were still available for a few weeks after they went on sale. I'm not sure if any remain or not. I won the lottery for Yankees-Red Sox tickets this year after five years of trying. I couldn't believe my eyes when I read the e-mail: "Congratulations!..."

Redsox have to be the toughest. Stadium seats a lot less than most stadiums and you have all these die hard fans you won't see in a lot of places.
I never had a problem at Shea Stadium. In fact I always had decent seats for about 30 bucks.

I love Fenway and all but it'[s time for the Red Sox to move on to new digs. They could easily fill a 50,000 seat stadium every night.

I know getting Cardinals tickets is a hassel if you don't get online that first day. You'll be their website for hours trying to get pages to load, only to have them crash as you are trying to finalize the purchase. Things have gotten better in recent years, but it's still a tough ticket to snag.
The Pirates are by far the easiest! Whenever I'm in PA I can log on the day of the game and get box seats no problem. I just grabbed a pair of front row seats, the first two next to the dugout on the vistors (first base) side of the field against the Cardinals for 44 bucks off stubhub. Can't beat that. It's a shame too, because PNC Park is one of the most beautiful stadiums in the country. Hopefully the new front office will get it together because Pittsburgh fans will pack that park if they field a decent team.

I assume you mean 44 bucks each (which is still a good deal). I just got a baseline box, fifth or sixth row on the aisle, from the box office

Red Sox, Cubs, and Yankees. The Mets are probably hard but those 3 are also tough b/c their stadiums are (in the case of the Yankees, were) baseball landmarks.

CubsMy brother-in-law took me back before they were good, and our seats were several rows apart

I don't know how things are in STL since they got the new stadium, this is the first year that I'm going to try to go( got a little tripped planned, hoping to be able to hit STL, Cubs, W Sox).
Yea, 44 a pop. I'm sure I could have gotten something comparable for a few bucks cheaper, but I've always wanted to sit right there.

Imagine that? Tickets at $100 a pop. So if you have a family of four your spending $400 on tickets alone. And by the time you buy the dogs, the hats, the cotton candy, the beer...ect they probably have shook you down for $500 to $550. They might as well have the ticket tellers wearing ski masks.
The day I spend $550 on one ballgame is the day I eat the ticket.
Personaly I used to love going to AAA or AA baseball in our midsized cities. Its great baseball and theres even $ left over for dinner.

You probably don't want to know about the first three rows of dugout box seats

Reading about the Red Sox makes me really happy I can just go down to the Dome any day and get $7 cheap seats, unless the Yanks or both Sox are playing. The seats are greatly angled, so it's not even that much worse than lower level tickets. Add in food and stuff and it's about $20 a game.
