PHOENIX -- The D-backs have invited 17 non-roster players to Spring Training, which kicks off when pitchers and catchers begin reporting on Saturday.
The first workout for pitchers and catchers will be on Sunday at the Kino Sports Complex beginning around noon MT. Position players report Feb. 17 and the first full-squad workout will take place Feb. 18.
The 2009 invitees include:
Pitchers: Right-handers Hector Ambriz, Tony Barnette, Brooks Brown, Seth Etherton, Reid Mahon and left-hander Daniel Schlereth.
Catchers: Luke Carlin, Ed Easley and John Hester.
Infielders: Ryan Roberts, Rusty Ryal and Josh Wilson.
Outfielders: Evan Frey, Trent Oeltjen, Gerardo Parra, Chris Roberson and Brandon Watson.
