Looks like someone needs a pop-up blocker (or Firefox). I don't think I've seen a pop-up since 2005.

I haven't seen it lately but I do remember the outer banks popup from a few years back. I guess it's back for those who are unable to install the popup blocked, like library users or anyone who uses a potentially shared-computer. There are plenty out there like that.
J.R., the best way to remove the issue without downloading anything is to contact webmaster Sean directly via PM. He's the only one who can do something about the ads, but he may not get a straight chance to always check this forum when he's doing the x amount of things he does with the site.
