CLEVELAND -- You can officially close the book on the Indians' 2008 transactions.
On Thursday, the Tribe completed the trade that sent Paul Byrd to the Red Sox back in August. The Indians received outfielder Mickey Hall as the player to be named in the deal.
Hall, 24, spent most of the '08 season at Double-A Portland, where he batted .232 with 16 doubles, 13 homers and 35 RBIs in 82 games. He also spent time with Class A Lancaster, where he hit .216 (8-for-37) in 12 games.
Hall, a Marietta, Ga., native, was taken by the Red Sox in the second round of the 2003 First-Year Player Draft.
In six Minor League seasons, Hall has hit .239 in 538 games.
