Who should be the Cubs' all-time left fielder?

Abner Dalrymple (1879-86)
Jimmy Sheckard (1906-12)
Riggs Stephenson (1926-34)
Billy Williams (1959-74)

Billy Williams. One of the sweetest swings you'll ever see.Not a bad glove to boot.Very durable.1,107 consecutive games played.

Stephenson is incredibly underrated, but I had to go with Williams on this one.

Williams was an easy choice for me too.

I never heard of this Abner guy before I made this poll. It looks like he just showed up the first day the Cubs were made a team and started playing with them. I can't even imagine what life was like back in 1979 much less 1879. I think Bluezebra could probably tell us though.

I was unfamiliar with him as well, but he did have pretty good stats, just not enough to rank as their greatest.

I think Riggs deffinently deserves some consideration here.

Riggs deserves some props, but he isn't Billy Williams.
