Tommy Henrich played from 1937 to 1950, missing late 1942 to 1945 to World War II. He hit .282 with 183 home runs and an OPS+ of 132, and he walked 712 times and had only 383 strikeouts.
Although his playing career was only 11 season, he was an All-Star five times and he compiled a grey ink of 80.
Not entirely surprising, none of the ten players he is most similar to him are in the Hall of Fame. Those players are: Raul Ibanez, Bobby Higginson, Jeff Heath, JD Drew, Geoff Jenkins, Brian Jordan, Jackie Jensen, Aubrey Huff, Mike Sweeney and Sid Gordon.
According to The Baseball Page, he is the 48th best right fielder of all time. He received votes for the Hall of Fame in nine elections, garnering as much as 20.7% of the vote.
So, do you think Tommy Henrich should be in the Hall of Fame?
