Mickey Mantle cards made? I was looking and organizing my Yankees cards yesterday and I found 9 pages of just Mickey Mantle and I don't buy these things by singles. Anyone else think they over do it?

Topps just loves Mickey Mantle. I agree, they go overboard on all the Mantle inserts, etc. They probably have signed a never ending licensing agreement with Mantle I.P. Holdings to use likeness and image forever, who knows....

Topps had even retired card #7 at one point, saying they were never going to assign #7 to future sets, the numbering would just go #5, #6, #8, #9, and so forth. Don't know if they're still doing that, or if they're only issuing new Mickey Mantle cards with that number.

Yup, they are producing new Mantle cards as #7

I love The Mick, i grew up watching him play in Yankee Stadium, but yes, Topps has gone nuts with too many Mantle cards. But no big deal, I only put in my album the ones i like. No law says you have to display all cards of a certain player or team.
