What is the major differences in their swing models & hitting philosophies, if any?

I was once at Setpro and was also on the SE website. I haven't been on either for a while. But lately I've been going back and trying to take a closer look at many different hitting systems that I have been exposed to. For example, some of the information on this board has given me reason to go back and take a closer look at the Epstein stuff. So I thought it would be good to look at PCR (I know some don't like the term) a bit again too.

I'm not expecting anyone to go into great detail. But what are some of the bigger and main differences between Nyman and Englishbey? Or would it be safe to say they both see the swing the same.

It does seem like the SE guys are trying to disassociate themselve from the PCR label. So I have to assume there are some differences. I very curious what these differences are.

thanks,

I am speaking out of turn as I am not speaking on behalf of either person...but I believe that they agree a lot on the basics of the swing but SE actually has a better idea of how to teach what he believes happens with the swing and Nyman is more about analyzing what goes on with the swing.

The term is Paul's intellectual property. He coined it and has tried at length to explain the use and definition. An effort which has failed miserably judging by this board. ;)

Isn't Paul Nyman a pitching guy in the first place? I read his ebook and liked it. Sometimes it seemed over complicated, but there are definitely some good things in it.

There are a few things that I would not quite agree, but all in all it was a good read.
I will watch englishbey next, maybe then I can write an opinion.

Every once in a while this topic or one closely related to it appears on an internet hitting site. There are enough 5-10 year hitting site veterans to know that Paul Nyman's ability to understand and describe the swing process is second to none. There are many aspects of the swing that he completely dissected and described years back that half of internet hitting site posters still do not understand. The quality and quantity of his work for those who still have access to it is unrivaled .Steve Englishbey spent a lot of time on the Setpro site prior to starting his own.He has a very rare combination of ability that makes him appealing to many. He is an excellent researcher ,teacher and communicator. No internet hitting guru demonstrates what he preaches better than Steve .There are also a lot of really sharp guys here and elsewhere that I look forward to reading on a regular basis and their contributions help to broaden and refine my understanding of the swing. Guys like Williams and Lau and Adair etc....set the table for guys like Nyman and Englishbey etc....to expand ,prove, refine and refute. The process continues and I am looking forward to the future.
