I don't think he is using his lower half. Looks to be more of a "hands-to-the-ball" type hitter.

Looks to be a top hand/arm dominate swing while maintaining a wide open stance through contact.

Someone ripped him off selling him an undersize medicus bat. http://imageevent.com/siggy/hitting/analysis?p=26&n=21&m=20&c=4&l=0&w=4&s=0&z=9

Or perhaps this is the one hand drill version. ;)

Fine assessments by all so far, but you ought to see his celebration at home plate when when he launches one into the seats.

He is reportedly a catcher who has a very "interesting" way of blocking the plate also. After the first "block" I understand subsequent guys are taking a really wide route to avoid is lightening quick, foot, knee, leg, elbow, forearm, then glove tag approach. Most walk away dazed and confused after he applies this new style of "tag". I'll see if I can find some video. :D

The Pirates are in negotiations with his Sensa (agent) and looking to sign him to finalize their "India to Asia" rotation. :waving

I've actually tried this with golf wiffle balls before, It's not as easy as you might imagine it to be (though I think I was doing the front arm/bottom hand version- and with less screaming) :D

Dr. Yeager has these cages setup at his facility - you can choose the pitcher and it throws curves, fastballs, changeups, and so forth. Very cool.

Save up your money . . . we train at one in our area . . . and they are very cool, but pretty pricey.

$5,995.00 for an Iron Mike version

$13,995.00 for the "Home Plate" variable pitch speed/type version

Yes, that's Dr. Yeager on the left, if any of you were wondering with Jim Joyner, ALLSTAR ACE, CEO & developer.

Hopefully in a few years when I shop around to find warehouse space to open my facility I'll be able to afford one. I think it would be a huge draw.

No, unfortunately not. I've been to nearly all of the hitting facilities within a 40 mile radius of Seattle and none of them are all that impressive. Strike-Zone is probably my favorite just due to the people that run it (Justin's a great guy) and the equipment is in the best shape around.

Those machines are popular here but unfortunately I am not near one...

They throw various speeds from 80 to 130 KMP with an assortment of pitches. Also my friend told me I believe that 150 is available at some places. A few of the elite HS's here for baseball uses them. :applaud:

When I used to play for a team in the Tokyo City area where the Yakult Swallows play and practice it was fun to use.
