Hi. I found this box of baseball cards in my grandfather's attic, and I was wondering if they were worth anything. :noidea Let me know, because tomorrow is garbage day. Thanks.

The closest I've ever come to opening a 1952 Topps pack (something I'd love to do...) is that I'm strongly considering buying a 1951 Topps Red Back pack from a VERY good friend I've made through the hobby. He's opened a few of these and his best pull so far is a Warren Spahn (pack also had Gene Hermanski). I know they're worth more sealed, but I would most definitely open the pack. Even if I got two scrubs, it would be the ultimate pack-busting experience.

Yeah, it would be great to open a '52 Topps pack, even if I couldn't keep the cards.

If you would have kept this going for a few days before letting us know that you were joking around you would have fooled us good. :D

If I had done that, I wonder if I would have gotten some private messages from people wanting to buy my grandfather's "junk" baseball cards for $10. :D

I am quite confident that your inbox would be full if that were the case. :waving

Hey ipitch, offer to sell the packs for $10 apiece under the following terms of sale:
Purchaser promises to "eat" (i.e., chew) the gum contained within the pack for a minimum of five minutes.
Purchaser agrees to provide to seller a video proving that he or she has "eaten" the gum contained within the pack for the aforementioned minimum period of five minutes.
Video must also document that the gum that is being "eaten" was actually taken from the purchased pack of 1952 Topps baseball cards.
Let's see how many buyers you get now!!!!! :applaud:

You'd get me. I've had gum from a '75 Topps pack (although since it turns to powder when you chew it, chewing it for five minutes is next to impossible...I'd also have to swallow it, though since I always swallow my gum, that's not a problem) within the past year. Believe it or not, it wasn't half bad.

So have a lot of people... in 1975.
When did you have it?

"When did you have it?"
Late 2007. Tasted a lot like those candy cigarettes, but much crunchier and MUCH sweeter, plus with a cardboard aftertaste.

I think they might sell pretty fast, because the packs are worth $5,000+ each. People will do some pretty crazy stuff for $4,990. :)

I'd eat a klondike bar.
