The Cleveland Indians sold the contract of right-hander Tom Mastny, a 1999 graduate of Zionsville High School, to the Yokohama BayStars of the Japanese Central League.
Mastny split last season between the Indians (2-2, 10.80 ERA, 14 games) and Triple-A Buffalo (2-2, 1.78 ERA, 28 games).

Former Hobart, Ind., and Ball State star outfielder Larry Bigbie, the top pick (21st overall) of the Baltimore Orioles in the amateur draft of 1999, played for the BayStars last season.
