Makes it 5 from the 1948 champs in Cooperstown, along with Boudreau, Doby, Lemon and Feller. Well 6 if you want to count Bill Veeck.
Granted he'll have a Yankee logo on his cap and all, but another member of a great "forgotten" championship team is in the Hall.

Funny thing is I always contended the Yankees got the better of the Gordon-Allie Reynolds deal - Tribe got Gordon for 4 years, while Reynolds averaged about 17 wins a year over 8 seasons for the Yanks. Got me in big trouble with sports desk veterans at the Cleveland Plain Dealer. And Reynolds came up one vote short yesterday.

Satchel Paige is in the HOF also and he went 6-1 for the 1948 Championship Tribe. Gordon's selection is long over due...
