SSPC baseball cards

Hi, I've been a collector off and on since 1987 or so, but realized I know very little about SSPC cards. I see them on Ebay all the time, but wonder if I should bother with them. I'm not a set collector, or a completist. I just tend to pick up stuff cheap if it catches my eye. Any insight, info, links or wisdom would be appreciated. Thanks.

They're nice from the visual standpoint, but have little to no value. They make great cards for TTM autographs.

I think SSPC produced the only card of Reggie Jackson in an Orioles uniform during the actual time he was there. Somehow he was not in the 1976 Topps Traded set.
