Saturday was my semi-annual SABR meeting here in Rhode Island (Lajoie Chapter). At the meeting, they had a bunch of 2008 media guides that they'd gotten donated by the teams available free to members.
A whole bunch went, but by the end, a whole bunch were left. I was helping clean up, and they said they were just going to toss them in the dumpster. I couldn't let that happen, so I grabbed all that were left and brought them home.
So, now, I'm making them available to anyone who wants one for the cost of shipping. I picked up some bubble mailers today for 75 cents each, and then hit the post office and found out that one envelope with one media guide in it costs $2.58 to ship via media mail.
So, if anyone would like a 2008 Media Guide from a team listed, it can be yours for $3.33. You can send me a check, send me cash, or I can give you paypal info. Send me a PM and we'll figure it out.
As you can see, I won't make a dime on these (nor a penny), and I checked with the admins before posting this.
Here's the teams and quantities I have available:
St. Louis Cardinals - 12
Philadelphia Phillies - 8
Houston Astros - 34
Detroit Tigers - 7
I'll update the quantities above as they go.
I just couldn't stand to see them get tossed in the trash. I'll keep this thread going for a couple weeks (or until they're all gone), then I'll recycle what's left. Even that's better than chucking them in the dumpster.
