Has anyone had luck sending to relatives to get players autographs.
On the Family Autograph thread there are lots of players that I do not have viable address for..so I'm thinking about sending to known relative. Can you post if this has been a success for you...

My guess is you'd get a mixed bag. You'd probably get a few players back, at least, but you'd also probably get stuff RTS'd and worse, stuff signed by the family member.

Like writing to Aunt Barb's house to get her nephew who is a mlb'er? Something like that Bill?
I have never tried, nor would I. It's almost the same thing as writing to Pat Neshek and asking HIM to have Joe Mauer sign a ball for you.

Yes...good ole Aunt Barb....
What about asking to get players during holiday season if he sees him.
I have had one success that way with Dave Howard....

I would be sincere about it. I.e. I'm trying to contact your brother but I cannot find information. Would you be able to pass this along to him or provide me with a mailing address where I can send it?

Yeah....I just sent out to Ed Cheff (Head Coach at Lewis and Clark College) and dad of Tyler (FMR MiL'er) and I encluded in letter that we are interested in contacting Tyler and put an index card to fill out that address information.

Hmmmm, sending TTM requests to a player's family seems kind of below my ethical standards. I'm not an autograph guy, but if I was, I'm not sure I would like that. Sure, an MLB player accepts a certain amount of fame by playing the pro game, but does his Aunt Barb?
If somebody comes back here and says Dimitri Young's Aunt Barb will give him all TTM sent to her, does that mean that Aunt Barb has to be savaged with TTM requests?

Aunt Barb seems to be pretty famous around these parts. Her name is being mentioned everywhere!
