I'm curious to know who you think is more passionate about their sport?

There are so many national-level spectator sports at the national level in the U.S. that overall, I don't think it's that close. I do think a hardcore U.S. baseball fan is everybit as passionate as a hardcore Canadian hockey fan.

I am American, so I will have to go for baseball. I will say though, it is extremely close. The Canadians love hockey.

I went with the Canadians.
I'd also add the Europeans (pick a country) and football/soccer.

I agree. I was born and raised in this country and though I meet a few non- hockey fans, the overall concensus is that almost every Canadian knows about hockey. There are two seasons in Canada--hockey season and almost hockey season. Even in the summer, all you hear about (my friends anyway) is how the Leafs will do or the Canadiens or the draft or the trades or coaches or the summer hockey schools, yadda yadda yadda....:banghead:. Don't get me wrong, I like hockey (we're just friends, really), but I LOVE Baseball! My friends tell me that I must be an American in the Witness Protection Program, disguising myself as a Canuck.

I voted Canadians about hockey because hockey is Canada. Here in America we not only have hockey, but we have baseball, football, basketball, etc. We love our baseball but it isnt far and away the nations game.

Hockey is why Canadiens do it in an animal oriented position. :)
