It was said on ESPN this morning that Andy Pettitte, the big left-hander that has played the majority of his great career with the New York Yankees, wants to pitch again for the Bombers. He is set to become a free agent.
I think it would be a good idea to bring Pettitte back. He's a great pitcher, and even with those 14 losses last season, he had a decent year. He's one of the four players from the 1990's/turn of the century dynasty and should be given a new contract.
It just seems like a crime to keep Jeter, Rivera, Posada, and Pettitte away from each other. Besides, it ain't like the Yankees don't have the money. Even after they go after Sabathia and Sheets.
