For those of you who are interested in reading some real laboratory testing done on humans in the field of biomechanics, SagePub is offering a free trial until the end of October.
My two favorite ones were:
-Biomechanics of the Shoulder in Youth Baseball Pitchers (http://ajs.sagepub.com/cgi/content/abstract/33/11/1716) (Sabick et. al.)
-Kinematics and Kinetics of Elite Windmill Softball Pitching (http://ajs.sagepub.com/cgi/content/abstract/34/4/597) (Werner et. al.)
You can sign up here (https://online.sagepub.com/cgi/register?registration=FTOct2008-9).
The softball one is particularly interesting, as it concludes that there are significant overuse injuries waiting to happen to pitchers despite the lower loads on the shoulder in comparison to baseball.
Happy reading!
