at the beginning of this year around march i was throwing around 77mph. consistantly and now almost 7 months later im only thowing around 74 or 75 TOPS. The thing is i barely EVER take a day off throwing. weather im throwing a baseball or outside throwing rocks i throw and throw to keep my arm in shape even though baseball season is over. I was wondering if that much throwing could actually hurt me instead of helping? and should i take a couple weeks off of throwing?

An off-season schedule should have some time off built in.

Work up to:

75-100 pitches, MWF, weekends off

or 75 on MT, off W, 75 ThF, weekends off.

hour long sessions, 20-30 seconds between pitches. Focus, map then throw.

After seven months you could have a tired arm. You should take at least two months off from throwing between seasons.

i usually take off 2-3 months, but i try to throw once or twice a week just with a loose arm.
