mickey mantle, joe dimaggio or ted williams?
I cant decide.
though Im leaning towards dimaggio.

Mantle, mostly because I was able to get his autograph in person and did not use a ball, which is how I prefer IP now.

I hope that you don't mind Yamsi but I moved this to the Baseball Card Collecting & Memorabilia forum. 98% of those who know anything about autographs come here.
That's a tough question. Which one was harder to acquire? All three were notoriously NONautograph friendly. If memory serves me correct Mantle charged a whopping $500 for his autograph if you wrote to his home in Texas.
So to answer your question, I would go for Mantle.

Both Williams and DiMaggio have strong California connections, if that means anything to you, yamsi. Williams was from San Diego while DiMaggio was from San Francisco.

I work for a company that sells them so I have them available. The Ruth is by itself, I have Mantle alone and w/ other 500 HR hitters and I have DiMaggio alone.

Im looking to buy all three eventually, but just one of those for starters right now. Its a tough call on which. I just got my Yogi ball today, but he comes pretty cheap compared to the others.
Id also like to eventually snag a Ruth, Gehrig, Mays, Maris and Jackie Robinson as well. All those are very pricey, with the exception of Mays right now. I want all on baseballs.
