View Full Version : No access to YS bleachers from main bldg
The Monument

This has probably come up before but I tried to access the bleachers today from the end of the RF Main level, and later from LF. The security guy in RF said no, even when I asked him about coming round near the end of the game. In the 7th, I tried again in LF at the bottom of the escalator tower and got the same response. I sought out NYPD in Main sect 34 and tried him, telling him I'm a fellow P.O. and I just want to take a few photos. No help there either--he told me to seek out one of the cops IN the bleachers, the same bleachers that I can't get into. Before the game I even tried asking people if they would trade their bleacher tix for my Tier Reserved, but got six "no thanks". I can understand not letting bleacher patrons into the main bldg, but not the other way around. It's the only place I've never sat and the only place that I haven't taken photos from.

There's no access in either direction. It's always been that way.

And it MAY be like that in NYS too.

I doubt it. Isnt there a bleachers entrance in the great hall? or whatever it's called? all of a sudden, I cant remember what it's called, lol.

If I had bleacher tickets and somebody wanted to trade me their tier reserved straight up, I'd do it in a second.

So would I. And I'd do it in the new stadium regardless of whether the bleachers had access to the main stadium or not.

You just made it longer by responding. Just ignore the thread if you don't like it, and it will slowly sink to the bottom of the screen.

I have some pictures if you want, they're nothing special, believe me (PM me). Also, you didn't miss anything. I had the 7 game package this year in the upper tier in rightfield. I went with my daughter for 3 games, 2 of them sitting in the main level under the loge in rightfield. We just went and sat there instead of the upper deck. While there we noticed the fun they were having in the bleachers, so I got 2 seats from Stubhub for 85 bucks ($12 seats). When we got there we went to our seats and thought they were OK, but when the game started and the bleachers filled up it quickly became apparent that they really do suck. No room, no seat backs, everybody standing all the time. It was horrible, we left early.

Back in the 60's my friend said they would let you go into the stadium. That was a long time ago.
