I was listening to The Glory of Their Times again last week (while commuting - I just love listening to those old guys) and was struck by Goose Goslin's retelling of his World Series appearances.
It put me in mind of this idea; who has appeared in the most World Series with different teams. Already I'm going to cheat too - Goslin was with the Senators in 1924 and 1925, then was traded away to the Browns (no Series there of course), but returned to the Senators for the 1933 Series. Interestingly, the Senators have never been to the World Series without Goslin - like Jim Palmer and the Orioles. Anyway, there's the cheat, I have to count that as two teams since he left in between. Then of course, he went on to Detroit for two Series in '34 and '35. In MEverse that's three.
That was it for him, but that's the idea which players were in the most Series with different teams . . . ?

So did Heinie Groh, Wally Schang, Joe Bush, Fred Merkle, Don Baylor, Nick Altrock, possibly Hugh Casey and Gerald Williams, depending on the rules.

But the king is Dennis Cook, who played for five.
