I am going to YS next Sunday. Since I live north of the city, and the Metro North Station is not built yet, I was wondering about the following. Has anyone driven from the northern suburbs and parked north of YS and taken the IRT #4 down to YS? I used to park around 165th and Jerome, but that can take an hour just to move a foot from that garage after the game.

Is there anyplace to park a little north of there, even if it means a quick jump on the EL ? It would make a nice picture for my son to snap as we pass the NYS and OYS.

When I go to Shea I always park on 111th and walk over (or now one can take a shuttle bus behind the Hall of Science). I have never parked on the street for a Yankee game, and I think that is unrealistic, especially with the NYS construction.

Any advice?

I typed Jerome Ave and 165th. I was thinking about River Ave under the El, just past the EL's old turn towards the Polo Grounds. Are there any public lots up in the 170's and 180's ?

you can try parking in woodlawn next to the cemetery by the end of the 4 train and take the train down from there

This is exactly what I did today. Took the Tappan Zee to I-87 to exit 13 in the Bronx. Parked right under the EL on the street and took the IRT #4 rd trip. Total cost for 2 people 8 bucks. Twenty five minutes after game ends, I am in my car already at exit 13 heading home at highway speed. PRICELESS

Exactly which lots are open right now? Cause somehow my brother got tickets to the last game, a week from today, and if we drive in, I wanna know what lots are open so we'll know where to park and where not to park.

Thanks for all 3 post about another question about Yankee Stadium parking.

I have seen the parking lots of Yankee Stadium and Dodger Stadium.
