Those of you who are not familiar with Gary's e-mail (and printed) newsletters are missing some fine reading. He extends some well-deserved respect to those whose careers were interrupted by the most important event of the Twentieth Century!
The latest issue deals with the military service of Hall of Famers who served. If you have any curiosity about WW II, you'll especially enjoy Gary's newsletter.
To me, his articles about minor leaguers who served during WW II are the real gems. I'm sort of a minor league enthusiast, and especially interested in the 1935-1960 period, so the players covered are very much of interest to me personally.
My thanks to Gary for another excellent issue, and please do yourselves a favor by visiting Gary's superb site and newsletter.
